Cleansing forums

We hold regular cleansing forums in each area of Belfast.

The forums give members of the public the chance to speak to our cleansing services staff about issues in their area.

Our community awareness team works with local communities to make Belfast a cleaner place to live, through advice, talks, visits and cleanups. The team is also available for queries regarding cleanliness.

Education and outreach work

The community awareness team offers interactive anti-litter talks, activities, workshops and resources to primary and secondary schools and summer schemes throughout Belfast.

Our talks and activities can be tailored to suit a school's environmental curriculum and are targeted to different age groups and abilities.

Community cleanups

Community cleanup volunteers If you want to improve your community’s appearance and tackle environmental crimes, such as fly tipping, littering and graffiti, contact our Community Awareness Team to organise a cleanup.

All kinds of groups, including schools, community groups, youth clubs or church groups, can take part in a cleanup, whether it's a simple litter pick or a themed event.
