Parental support
Your child attends school for at least twelve years, from four until sixteen years old, Years 1-12. This is compulsory education and you need to make sure your child attends.
School days should be happy, with your child enjoying academic courses and sports, and benefiting from pastoral care and peer integration. Schools encourage parental involvement with a child’s education. Take time with your child to check homework. Ask about the good and bad days in the classroom. Know what’s going on in the school playground.
If there are problems with your child’s progress, integration or behaviour, speak to your child’s year tutor or school principal.
