Our objectives are:- Good Community Relation
To contribute to a more stable, tolerant society by establishing a community relations programme. - Cultural Diversity
To contribute towards an inclusive pluralist society, by establishing a cultural diversity programme, which acknowledges and respects the cultural diversity within the City, and to promote and support the celebration of such diversity in an inclusive manner which avoids offending those with different views. - Equality through Delivery of Services
To ensure equality of opportunity in the delivery of Council services, in a manner which will respect and cater effectively for the needs of different users. (hyperlink to Equality Scheme) - Equality through a Representative Workforce
To create a welcoming and supportive employment environment which will help the Council to attract and retain a workforce which is broadly representative, at all levels and in all occupations, of the community it serves.
