What to do in Belfast
If you are in Belfast for a few days, make time for arts and leisure, shopping, dining out and touring the city quarters. As well as mainstream shows at the Grand Opera House and Waterfront Hall, there are intimate venues for new plays, poetry recitals, music, dance and comedy. Cinemas include high technical 3D screens, multiplex, arthouse, and the Strand, an art deco-style cinema first opened in 1935.
If you’d rather participate than watch, go to a cycling, outdoor sports or equestrian centre. Whether you’re competitive or prefer leisurely sports, there are venues with activities to suit your level of fitness. There are also golf clubs all over the city, including Ormeau which is only a few minutes away from the centre.
